The Electrical/Telecommunications Technologies program offers a four-year program to prepare graduates for entry into the growing field of telecommunications, security systems and electrical contracting. Graduates from this program are ready for employment, apprenticeships and/or post-secondary education and training. The program focuses on residential, industrial and commercial wiring, installation and troubleshooting, motor control and alarm control systems, and telecommunications. 


Students learn the theory and practice the related skills in a well-equipped shop with numerous training stations. In a unique partnership with Verizon, students learn the skills needed for certification and employment at Verizon and other telecommunications companies.

  • Blueprint schematic reading
  • Installation of Residential, Commercial/Industrial Wiring
  • Installation of Fire and Security Alarm Systems
  • Programmable Logic Controls (plcs)
  • OSHA safety training
  • Photovoltaics
  • Industrial motor controls
  • Outdoor/indoor telecommunications wiring
